This just goes to show how much work BW has to do as an industry. This is less alias and Varuns fault, more the organizers, star/ Disney, the PR, to not acknowledge the people whose movies are coming out and focusing on the star kids.

Just goes to show, these people have learnt nothing from the backlash that sushants death has caused.
they don’t want to change, rather just block, mute, comments and then try to continue as if nothing has happened.

Audience wants accountability from the people that are selling them content. It’s damned embarrassing, really. At the very least, it could have been a moment for change / good optics, by showing big companies are taking the step forward for inclusivity and making the industry a level playing field.

@ShaitanHaiwaan, about Alia’s fan base and how they haven't been able to counter this backlash or even out the online criticism field, I wonder how much of it has to do with age group of her fan base. Most of her fans at the height of her popularity were on younger side no? Teens and preteens. Those kids have grown up and probably moved on. She’s popular across the field no doubt, but she was never able to establish a solid mature(age wise) fan base.

Makes sense. But then again Madhuri fans still defend her and support her even though her prime was over in early 2000’s. Alia doesn’t have that kind of command, Alia is flavour of the season types
