I remembered only the first part of this. Lol so smugly she says yeah someone else was on board and there was a discussion to bring me on instead. I don't know anything about it. Who believes that? Now, do people get what others are protesting? It's this culture of snatching movies that other people are already doing that nepotism is breeding. Alia’s unfollower numbers plateaued at 47.3 for a couple of days, went up to 47.4 even and now it’s back down to 47.3. I’m sure she’s buying a lot of followers too. Makes me wonder what the numbers would be if she wasn’t buying them?

I think once the drop stopped or it went up by .1 she and her team thought things were calming down and it would be OK if she did this video. She’s even trying to do her usual I’m cute and natural thing. There’s definitely a “everything is hanky dory in my world” vibe she’s projecting and it’s kind of backfiring.

Let me tell you something, I’ve been a part of online Bollywood communities since 2003. I firsthand saw the euphoria around Rani/Preity/Ash online..... and then Kareena during JWM, Vidya and a Deepika in her prime etc .... they had haters but for the most part solid public support even during controversies. Even Deepika’s controversies people were divided. Now I don’t like Deepika at all but I can’t deny she’s a star. Same with Katrina, Priyanka and Kangana in their peaks .

With Alia, it’s fake and fabricated. It’s clearly a lie. Granted her acting improved, she went from being awful to average and was hailed as the next Shabana Azmi because of it. Her performance in Raazi is a disgrace to top performances that other actresses have given. Compare it to Black, Kahaani, EV, Fashion, Queen.... there’s a clear difference.

Her number 1 status is clearly fake and her winning awards for Gully Boy is proof of that. How nauseating has it been seeing Alu-Sanju-Deepu and Ranveer all seating together and pretending to be this elite group who make background deals so that one Person from each couple wins. Or let’s let Alia-sanju win for now and then next year we will reward Ranveer. That’s what they did with Padmavat, let’s give it to Sanju instead and next year Simmba can get it for Gully Boy

Still not able to understand how Alia could win for Gully Boy.

They played god with the industry and now the truth is out and the audiences are going to decide the narrative from now on. If we want to make Kiara or Shraddha number 1. We can. The point is that audiences should have the power not Ranbir’s Sasurji Johar

@ShaitanHaiwaan, about Alia’s fan base and how they haven't been able to counter this backlash or even out the online criticism field, I wonder how much of it has to do with age group of her fan base. Most of her fans at the height of her popularity were on younger side no? Teens and preteens. Those kids have grown up and probably moved on. She’s popular across the field no doubt, but she was never able to establish a solid mature(age wise) fan base.

One reason first part of this is mind boggling is because that’s her answer to a question about struggling. Her idea of struggling is to call KJo and Varman and give them and ultimatum that she will be upset.

I agree that Alia is getting the brunt of the backlash. But sometimes these star kids make it too easy with their ridiculous comments and answers.
