Kjo isn't financing every big-budget film in Bollywood, nor he can ask ppl to make films with his choice, he isn't that big.

Its true its not fair or ethical but its not a crime either. What I understand is that if he has the money to buy these scripts and directors and even the other party is willing to agree that there is nothing anybody can do about it. Big production house ain't gonna leave good scripts or directors just because they are commited to others. It should be the director or script writers call. Maybe the industry should change their way of working for something to change in this case. Like say make a rule that producers can't interfere in casting , it should be completely a director's call since its a creative decision. Big or small producer everyone should adhere to the same rule. That makes sense to me.

I will blame them, I want the system to change, I have my reasons.

Let me tell you, it's a fully damaged system from the top down.

First 3-4 production houses control entire industry. When they have power they play.

First, you have to be a part of their camp. You cannot leave their camp, if you do they make sure your opportunities dry up.

Next even somehow you come out and act , you cannot stand against these movie Biggie's. Why

Theaters, they book as part of the deal. Their movies get 80% screens, you are left with 20. Otherwise they will threaten the distributors and theater owners on future movies.

Next comes promotions, they buy almost all media say 80% , they promise to give exclusive deals to them on their star interviews . Remaining 20% are left with rest.

Now tell me who is most likely to succeed from these scenarios. How many screens did a Masaan or Tumbaad get or Udaan get.

Basically you have to be part of the camp, sucking up.to.them, doing what they want you to do.

You will be rewarded with awards, front cover on magazines, lots of interviews, publicity etc.

If you rub them off, you will be sidelined and smear campaign will follow, opportunities will be reduced , you won't be considered for awards.

Now when did Katrina became a Actress as per this forum to lost a Art movie role? As per this forum woh kabhi actress hai hi nahi, & she is in good terms with Karan n team, even Alia, why would they do such thing? Dear Zindagi isn't BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER for which they did so much planning.

Dear zindagi...i read on this forum that alia bhatt admitted that kat was the original choice.

Highway too alia got after kjo convinced imtiaz otherwise imtiaz didn't like alia in SOTY.

Screens don't make films BIGGEST HITS, if that was the case, Salman's Films would have been earning in 1000 Cr as per his SCREEN SIZE Release which is biggest.

I tell you, I agree with what you are saying for BIG EVENT FIlms, you don't get Screens, but when there is no BIG FILM, you get SCREENS, ppl still don't come.

Maine Pyar Kiya was released on 4 theatres only, coz producers were not sure if this film will work or not, imagine 4 theatres in Bombay only, later on with success it got they released more prints. Which shows that no matter how many SCREENS you get or at which DATE you bringing your film, if AUDIENCE Like your film, it will became BIG on it's own.
