Is it just me or does certain actors like apply the same technique in acting over and over again?
Like, they literally act like they came straight from one set to another? The characters sound the same, there is no improvisation or experimentation, and the emotional scenes seem deja-vu.
Except for Kangana, Ranbir, and Rajkumar Rao, most of the millennial actors are one-note actors. But who takes the cake when it comes to this special form of acting?
Look at Alia Bhatt, for instance.
To me, she was and always will be average as an actress, because IMO being an actress entails more than just screen presence, which Alia has. But otherwise, she lacks the aura around her and something about her is so off-putting. She has raw screen presence but is overrated as an actress IMO.
She applies the same techniques, and relies too much on being 'cutesy'.
I only really liked her in Udta Punjab, to be honest. There she completely transformed herself.
Ayushman Khurrana - Though I'm a fan, he also indulges in one-note acting. A LOT.
Taapsee Pannu - The best example of mediocrity celebrated as excellence. She was stiff and monotonous in Badla like no-one's business.
I have taken these three names because they are considered as good actors, but I think they fail to bring something fresh to each character.
Discuss.
