While it may be difficult to take your eyes off them when they appear on screen now, there was a time when you didn’t even register the presence of these A-listers. Don’t believe it? Here’s proof...

ALIA BHATT

Film: Ugly (2013)

The actress, who had made her niche in B-town with films like the commercially successful Student Of The Year and critically acclaimed Highway by then, surprised in a blink-and-miss appearance in the Anurag Kashyap film. She played the younger Shalini Bose, who grows up to be Tejaswini Kolhapure.

SHAHID KAPOOR

Film: Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)

So, by now everyone knows that Shahid Kapoor started his career as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai’s Taal song, “Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye”. But few know that he was also one of the background dancers in “Le Gayi Le Gaye”, behind Karisma Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan in the Yash Chopra love story.

Film: Tere Naam (2003)

Jai Ho launched her as a leading lady but Daisy Shah had earlier appeared on screen in “Lagan Lagi”,dancing alongside Salman Khan in the 2003 film. Eleven years later, she romanced the actor.
