#Chhapaak is handicapped by a weak dull feeble incoherent screenplay / direction... with an anaemic performance by Deepika.. Such bold films should make you uncomfortable and force you to cry .. but #Chhapaak sadly fails to do so..

I knew it. She isnt a really good actress and can't act in such kind of movies. Meghna should have taken Priyanka or Parvathy or alia or someone who can act.

Deepika should stick to what works for her.. Nerdy, fun kinda characters..

Despite all those nautankis I had hoped this movie will work. But nope. Now it doesn't look possible. Using JNU for promotion was a bad move. Turning the ruling party against your movie isn't exactly a plan to make it hit. Not even a half baked one. It's literally inviting open wrath. Social media is so full of negative campaigns. From spreading fake name/religion controversy to circulate fake betrayed quotes under Laxmi's name to giving 1*, negative * reviews without even watching it....people are leaving no stone unturned to stop this movie. In few cities movie hall owners are being warned to not screen it...in few places people are being urged to watch it online & thus encouraging piracy. What a mess it has become. Totally not what anyone will want to find their movie in.

Deepika should fire her PR team. In other circumstances it could be a great movie to remember or maybe even a surprise blockbuster. But now, no chance.

Lol at the people who quickly criticize DP and believing that alia or kangana would have changed the verdict of the movie . The critics who are unhappy with DP's performance is equally unimpressed with the direction and screenplay and we all know how so called best actors saved the movies with mediocre scripts like Simran, judgemental hai ,kalank, Shandar etc .

Some cats here were really saying chapak would have a bigger first day. Walk the walk now I guess. 🤷‍♂️

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior has done well on day one at the box office as it has collected in the 16 crore nett range as per early estimates. The film has put in a solid perfomance on day one with Maharashtra having very good collections. North and East India are at decent levels while Rajasthan and CI are good. South India has not collected too well but there is the Rajnikant starrer Darbar there but still it will have a pretty good Nizam / Andhra number due to Marathawada..

The film did look like it may stay behind Chhapaak at some stations in the North like Chandigarh, Noida and Gurgaon but the film showed better growth than that film film and finished ahead in most of the cinemas in these cities. The film should show growth at most places on Saturday though Maharashtra may not as it has good numbers in all centres of the state.

Chhapaak seems to have faltered on day one itself the opening of the film was pretty decent and evening growth which is a norm for this type of film should have taken it to a 6 crore nett plus number but that growth did not just come and the film remained flat to collect around 4.75 crore nett on day one. The film could do better on Saturday but its unlikely to be huge growth going by the Friday trend. The film did look very dry and pretentious and the public seems to have seen that even the high end multiplexes audience.

Deepika is extra ordinary in chhapaak. Period. I cant imagine anyone playing laxmi. She was bloody good..🙏🙏🙏

However the movie was very fact based yet disturbing. There was constant uneasiness. 1st half good..2nd half looses track. Lost pace too..Then at last the movie gathered itself.. And the climax was shocking.

If that was the case pk would have been the biggest flop of this decade!!
