Anupama Chopra's tweet on Chapaak - do you agree? - Page 3

It was indeed a risky project for an actress in Bollywood as the mainstream BW movie is all about glamour and beauty . Though the forum is reluctant to accept DP as a beautiful lady , outside the forum DP is mainly known for her beauty and that makes this a daring choice . How can we belittle it even if her target is NA ? Isn't that the dream of every actors.

Post Padmaavat,post marriage ,after 2 year absence from screen..was it the right choice? Time will tell...

In 5 years ,this is her 2nd BW film..

DP might not be my favorite actress....but let's face it the majority of the forum will forever HATE DP. This is a good choice, anyone else is her place would have been applauded for this choice.

She is not the first one to do it n invest money too, last year Parvati released a Malayalam movie Uyare which was a hit...

Am sure you're right she is doing this for critical claim. Other BW mainstream actresses do it for social betterment? Which is fine. It's their career of choice, and they justifiably want to flex their acting muscles.

One thing though: Anupama Chopra is completely wrong. An actor's job is to act. Deepika shouldn't get extra credit for doing her job.

Bollywood hamam main sab nange hai.. Everyone does things for their own good.

Agree with Anupama...although I wish that there was a better actress playing this role....but still if a gorgeous woman chooses a role like this...it needs appreciation.👏

No so many films the protagonists have to look weird and it works. Koi Mil Gaya he wasn’t hero but nerd. Amitabh Bachchan in pata. An like I keep saying there are actors who do stunts where they nearly die. Yeh toh Kuch bhi nahin 😂

Laxmi is beautiful, just because it's not "conventional" doesn't mean actors need praise for doing their job.

Oh, puhlease. Like DP will allow us to forget she has a "stunning" (not in my opinion) face. The whole promo campaign for the film has been designed to emphasize how she, the beautiful special cake, has to suffer for art. LMAO
