On the topic, people not even knowing this song (new version) existed shows, how badly it flopped. Old one picked common people (with their attire) and achievers (in different fields) from each region. Lyrics used the regional language. Backdrop of each scene was the speciality of that region. Bollywood came at the end.

Every region felt pride, looking at their scenery, their stars (not just filmy), hearing words at their language. What was in the remade version except Bollywood?
