Unlike Biru Ranveer will not tolerate his schedule getting messed up. The minute he knew Takht got pushed to February he announced a new filler movie for the dates he gave for Takht. Kjo was yet to announce anything about the postponement and Ranveer's sudden announcement made people think the movie got shelved...

Brahmastra was never a start finish schedule movie right? Dragon was unofficially announced in 2014 with Aloo and Biru in the lead. It took kjo 4 more years to offically announce the movie's offical name in 2017 and start the shooting in 2018. Don't think Takht will have such a problem since any delays will affect kjo's other work commitments like tv shows, award night, his holidays also. I'm afraid this movie is getting made. 😟

Historical movies need big sets and outdoor shoots. They can't shoot it start to finish. They need to erect one big set after another... Takes time. So I was saying Kjo is probably shooting the whole movie in front of green chroma screen then he'd add ornate sets through cgi.

Ohhh you are right. I didn’t even think about the massive sets and all that. Regardless I’ll believe this when they start production.

I mean even after it got started how many times has the schedule and release dates changed? It looks like Dharma can’t handle big budgets very well. The only thing that might get Takht made is that it is a KJo movie and it might become an ego thing for him.

@bold: Takht is his ego project. Since the announcement his twitter display and header is Takht logo despite all the releases he had he did not once change the display to one of his new releases. Even in the tapecast interview he did with Ranveer he said he want people to take him seriously as a filmmaker and he was so excited when he was talking about shooting Takht. When the rumour that the movie got shelved started he took to his ig to shut down the rumour instead of releasing an official statement or news item...the movie is his most ambitious directorial the movie he is doing to prove that he is a great director so he will try his level best and he will definitely try to release the movie on the scheduled release date. His ego will be more hurt if Takht flopped or got shelved unlike Brahmastra, Kalank since he did not direct the other two movies. Start to finish schedule means he is planning to shoot the movie on a tight schedule.

What actually happened is that one night, Karan was watching Mughal-e-Azam but slept halfway through the movie. Usually our dreams are related to our last thoughts before we dive into slumber. Same happened with Karan.

In the dream, he finds himself in the throne room in King's Landing and sees Queen Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name and the Rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms descending the throne and offering him, her Crown.

"Today, I offer you my Crown, my Throne and everything precious to me in the honour of your supercalifragilisticexpialidocious grind in your craft, for creating this amazing universe of make-be------"

"Mughal-e-Azam" John Snow corrects and whispers.

Karan is astounded and left teary-eyed.

In his hindsight, he finds Ranveer, Kareena and in her arms, a wailing baby Alia, Vicky is also there holding hands of little Janhvi. All giving him a round of applause.

Karan, still teary eyed moves towards the throne; his vision a blur now. As he goes down to sit, one of the knives' sharpened point attacks his ass.

Karan wakes up sweating and finds Roohi and Yash jabbing his backside with tweezers. He quickly grabbed his phone and this is how we got this tweet:

I am so excited and honoured to announce the lead cast of #TAKHT#THRONE

"Work on the visual effects will take place simultaneously with the shoot so the film is ready on time", start to finish schedule----> seems kjo learnt something from Brahmastra debacle. He is avoiding all the mistakes they made with Brahmastra schedule and shooting because the reason for postponement was vfx taking more time than they anticipated.

The previous news items on how kjo is taking the criticism on Kalank and reworking the Takht script, Sumeet Roy (the writer) tweeting wanting freelance historical buff research assistants in June means Dharma learnt something from Kalank debacle as well.

I want this fcking movie over so that I can move on from this. This is giving me nightmare. 😟😟

I don't know about the script but the story has epic written all over it.
