lol I'm very surprised at some of the angry reactions her statement has caused. Thought the majority of this forum felt the Nepotism in Bollywood industry was messed up-now that Kriti also says so we suddenly turn on her and now insult her? KYA?
(😆 okay sorry but I just had to include that pic)
What she is saying is undoubtedly true. Yes Nepotisim has always existed, but I would say it is at an all time high and will just get higher due to stars getting older and wanting to throw their multiple kids in the limelight so they can continue to live through their child their glory days. They are encouraged by the success of Alia and want to be next Alia. I would say its much harder for an actress being an outsider to get into films now then if she tried at the same age back in the 90s. I have no doubt in my mind that Kriti and others like her have not gotten roles or will have times where she is replaced for a role by a starkid, due to their connection their parents have in the industry. Yes there are Non-Nepo actress but they are few, usually they have to be connected with stars to get a chance, or be in another industry like modeling before they can be in a movie. Also I doubt if you are outsider and your acting sucks or if your movies flop you will be given a second or even multiple more movies and interviews, unlike starkids. If Nepotisim really is "pure business" because movies are "not a charity" (paraphrasing) then why do I see some starkids keep get all these movies despite multiple flops? I'm going to end my rant here because this comment is already super long.
Bottom line, I don't think she said anything wrong and don't think she deserves to be insulted like this for what she said.
