Vidyut is not an established lead actor, he has been typecasted into the supporting actor role, can't compare him with a main stream star like Tiger. They don't fall in same category. Skill set, yes but their standing in the industry, no.
Commando was average grosser and its sequel was a flop. Baaghi was hit and its sequel is a blockbuster, there is no comparison. In terms of popularity Commando has cult following, while Baaghi series has mass following.
It is okay to feel that Vidyut is more deserving but lets us not disregard that public likes Tiger more and he is much more popular than Vidyut.
Nowhere, i disregarded the fact that public likes Tiger more. I'm only pointing out the reasons behind it. As i said before, the initial hype and level of interest for Tiger was predetermined and he worked hard to take it further. And i am not even trying to blame him for it. Just stating the fact. Same wasn't the case with Vidyut. IMO, if he was provided with same platform as Tiger, he would have done exceedingly well also.
The initial hyping matters a lot to establish and introduce as an actor to others and leave an impression. In short, Vidyut didn't have that.
Connection with an audience doesn't really concerns here. It's more about less and more. It's less with Vidyut because he is not exposed to people at wider level as Tiger.
