Both are equally bad. That being said sleeping around is the effect of nepotism. If Bollywood wasn't obsessed on casting star kids than outsiders would have more chance and casting couch would be less prevalent.

I dont think there is sleeping around in nepotism and I think thats why nepotism exists, its a safe haven for that gang - so that they all can be exempt from behavior. There is no way Janhvi, Sara or Ananya are sleeping around for roles.

What about Esha Deol,Sonakshi Sinha and so many other starkids whose debuts failed?

a skill that normalizes skewed power relations but then again, it definitely is a personal choice, depending on ambitions etc. You have to be of a certain mentality to put yourself through that.

They (or at least Uday) would be rich either way. Do you think rich people in other place, go and donate their money? No, it's the same story everywhere. In Europe, they buy apartments, educations and stable life-styles for their kids. That's how it goes.

Honestly i do feel bad for those actors who can actually act, do theatres or graduate from drama schools but dont get roles as they dont sleep around.😔

And then we complain about outsiders and say that they are at par with insiders on terms of acting, when most of the outsiders are coming from modelling background and not acting itself.

I think we should de-stigmatize sleeping around. If we are being so accepting of other things - then why not this?

Nepotism or Casting couch, both are harmful for growth of film industry because both are unfair means to get ahead in career. And both are thrown under the carpet giving excuse that "it exists everywhere" and "their choice". Outsiders are justified of accepting casting couch because "they don't have a choice", but its worse than nepotism because not only are they taking someone's chances, but are also being a homewrecker by sleeping with married men.

Casting couch existed way before the word nepotism was coined in Bollywood dictionary.

Even when there were so many outsiders entering, working in and ruling BW...so can't blame it on nepotism
