What I think about Alia.

We as an audience know she is a star kid. But some of us will even agree that she is immensely talented. But the only reason I can't take her seriously is because of how easily she got every film. Debuting with a KJo film was not the big deal, back in 2012 larger-than-life films were the main deal. But post SOTY, if she would've branched out to different production houses and tried to make her brand name by herself, the scenario would've been different.

Thats the difference between her and Deepika (since Alia is said to be numero uno after DP)...DP has worked with different filmmakers, didn't have a godfather, and got SLB films because of her talent, not because there was someone lobbying for her. Whether u are a Deepika fan or no, thats one thing to respect. Alia on the other hand got films made for her by Papa Jo. Yes that established her as a leading actress and even showcased her talent, but the audience cannot accept u as numero uno because there is no struggle story, u basically have been given the best projects possible.

Secondly, she is basically copying DP instead of making her own image...the SLB film, Kalank, it was period films that catapulted DP into superstardom and Alia is trying the same formula. Alia also tries to dress like DP, look taller, even the instagram pictures of her clicked before an event looks so DP. Well, everyone is different, Alia and u gotta have ur own identity, not be a part 2 of any actress.

Also GIRL GAIN SOME WEIGHT GIRLY! Was rewatching SOTY the other day she looks so much cuter with a chubbier face. And Alia baby if u are reading this, everyone has a different face and body type! Today Tara or DP are naturally that thin so it doesn't affect their facial features much...both have high metabolism and I am sure they struggle with weight gain instead of loss xD But u look better chubby and thats alright! It doesnt make u less of an actress! In fact it makes u a real person, just like any of us!

Next Papa Jo making films for her doesnt get her any respect...he produced Kalank, helped her get Inshallah...well agar future mein Alia gets a film without KJo's help no one will believe it and it wont get her any respect.

Also her getting linked with RK hasnt help her at all...everyone I know calls her a bad friend for doing that to Kat, others say it is for publicity...but its Bollywood who knows the truth.

Mainly the over exposure that she is getting now with her own YouTube channel and being in every film. There is no buzz or excitement over her. Now other celebs are also attending events, but they have limited presence on Social Media and dont have YouTube...so the over exposure for Alia kills any interest one might have coz she is EVERYWHERE, and not because people are talking but because of paid publicity and her own social media accounts.

I just feel she is a talented individual who should've taken some smart choices and not stuck to KJo only. It would make people appreciate her talent and maybe then she would be numero uno since she would have worked her way to the top and would have been known only for her talent.

Ok, I get it. But why didn’t people have the same level of bias against Kareena Kapoor at peak? I am not a fan of Alia but this witch hunt (it is actually bullying) needs to stop. The girl can’t breathe without being hated on or receiving death wishes. Like WTH guys; manage your hormones and frustrations better. Both are privileged brats but at least Alia is a decent actor. Being a star kid puts you in an immensely privileged position that most commoners don’t have, but it doesn’t guarantee you success or longevity though e.g. Arjun Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Sonam, Kareena, AB, etc. They had their chance and their time but it died pretty quickly and no one would consider them as tier 1 actors with a proper legacy. Yes, nepotism is truly unfair but let’s be real; it happens in any sectors especially in Asia/Africa. The son/daughter of a rich/powerful parent will always have the type of opportunities that the rest of us don’t. The issue is that Karan is unabashed about it and does it in a very sleazy way, driven by PR. If any of us had the opportunities Karan have given to Alia we would take them too so blame him, not her.

I get it what u are saying. When Kareena debuted, media was not so huge. Print magazines and a few TV shows were the only way u had access to stars. There was no facebook, insta or snapchat. If someone said something scandalous, there were no platforms like IF to discuss those topics. And in the early 2000s there were still outsiders like Bipasha, Priyanka, Katrina, Preity etc so there was one star kid amongst so many outsiders.

I agree with u that Alia is a good actress, the girl is talented. But at the same time, the overexposure she gave to herself actually gives people more reasons to bash her! And I kinda feel bad when I see her trying to be something she is not...the last thing an individual should do is lose their own identity.

KJo...the less said the better.
