Sorry but Kabir pulling a knife up to on the woman IS NOT RAPE. I am not saying that its right, but I think most are overreacting here.

Nobody is saying anything about that woman who invited Kabir over while her fiancee is outside waiting - IMO thats a bigger issue.

But it's sexual harassment. It is a punishable offense. I did not call it rape. Also,not comparable. One punishable bylaw another totally not.

The knife scene I just saw some dude r great type of page shared with caption this scene has a separate fanbase. N in comments guys going gaga🤢how do I not feel anxious about this? gurantee Kya h I won't encounter any of these guys in daily life.

It is not sexual harassment. The woman called him over for sex. Sexual harassment is defined as an unwelcomed sexual advance. If he walked up a random girl and did that then yes it would be sexual harassment. But there IS a form of a consent involve which makes everything complicated and gray.

Also his frustration was that the clothes weren't coming off, not that the girl was not complying because SHE WAS READY to do it, a point that everyone is ignoring. When she said no firmly he ultimately walked away. Thats not attempted rape, its not harassment.

You need to keep that advice to yourself. I will call it what it was. I am woman and I have enough idea what am talking about. I have encountered quite a few Kabir Singhs myself and it was exactly what it was. He was threatening a woman with a knife for sex. What is it called in your language? And I have worked as a social worker for six years. So I don't need anyone telling me how to make a difference thanks. Oh so, just because it's a movie its okay to show all that without any consequence? WOW. If I am not wrong, the defence that people like Kabir Singh exists in real life and that's how it was portrayed, was used too. Which is it then?

Aaah, its ironical that you brought Rang De Basanti because did you know that ,that movie was instrumental in making candlelight vigils a movement in India? And actually acted as a catalyst for justice in both Jessica Lal and Nirbhaya cases.

Now you know the kind of effect movies have in our society. I can name a lot of movies like this. English Vinglish made a whole dalit society change recently. So don't underestimate the power of cinema in Indian society.
