No actually a Baagi 2 is much easier to sell with masses than the more intelligent films like Haidar which Shahid does. It is the same reason sas bahu shows sell, or cheesy Govinda comedies sell. They are made for the uneducated masses. Don’t meant to be rude but it’s true. Same is true for Hollywood to a certain extent.

Good music + Love story + decent acting + nice trailer

This formula mostly works. Opening to aayegi hi. Love Story with age appropriate actors will always have audience in India. Engaging love story hai to it will make money.

Sare directors abhi angsty hero ke pichhe pad jayenge. Abe gadho pay some money to music directors, have original nice music and to script writers.

Same is true for Kabir Singh....made for uneducated masses....thousands of kissing scenes..vulgar comedy..harassment..masses strive for such shit coz that’s what they do in real life and their ego gets boasted after watching such movies

It still required a lot more mastery of the craft called acting from Shahid than any of Tiger’s films required. Kabir Singh isn’t an easy character to play whether or not he was made for intelligent art audiences of uneducated masses.
