Barfi is wonderful only because of its performances and music, storywise I felt really bored in several parts...

GB is a wholesome entertainer with everything I seek for in a good movie! So yes, it's GB for me!!!

Barfi lacked originality with Basu directly lifting scenes from several other films. Gully Boy is a more masterful film direction wise. While Ranbir was excellent in Barfi and PC great, the entire cast of GB was stellar, so it wins for me in the acting department too. Barfi had beautiful music but Gully Boy has the iconic Azadi and Apna Time Aayega. It also popularised an entire genre of music and brought it into mainstream, so GB again. Overall, Gully Boy wins for me.

Gully Boy alongwith Lootera are the two most perfectly crafted films of the last decade for me. Pretty much flawless.

Thats a really tough choice to make. Loved both films in different ways! But as someone said, Barfi had beautiful music and cinematography but you feel bored in some parts.. and also some scenes are directly copied from other movies . On the other hand, Gully boy doesn't have a single boring moment.. I was entertained throughout. Add to that exceptional performances from the entire cast not just the leads. And ofcourse the rap. Apna time aayega, Doori, Azadi.. each song is amazing. So movie wise I chose Gully boy.

Acting wise both are their respective best performances. This again proves that everyone should stop fighting about who is the better actor between rk and rs.. coz as far as I see it, both are top class actors and have given some exceptional performances!
