No way.

Varun cannot do Bajirao, Lootera or Khilji.

Ranveer is miles ahead of Varun as an actor and a superstar. Far better variety and diversity in roles.

Only those who cannot digest his self made success mock him online for frivolous reasons.

Varun's range is limited. He can't play Khilji or sanju. Ranveer isn't great but he has wider range.

Did I just read that correctly? Varun vs Ranveer? 😆

I just saw Badri and Humpty a few days back, Varun's acting was so cringe worthy in those movies. His emotional scenes were so awful. He is average at best and only made it this far because he's David Dhawan's son. Varun is only fit for masala films where you don't need to act much. 😆 October is an exception (but I haven't seen that so can't tell).

Varun doesn't have the versatilty that Ranveer has and can't do the kind of roles he does in his dreams. I'm pretty sure Varun would admit this himself 😆

Ranveer was as subdued as it gets in Gully Boy. He played a shy, quiet, and meek character to perfection. I don't know what more he can possibly do to prove that he's the best actor right now and the most versatile.

Even Ranbir can't do a Khilji or Bajirao so forget Varun.

Varun is average at best, he is this generation's Salman Khan sans the mega star power off course!

Ranvir on the other hand, is a good actor with an evolving body of work.

This would've been a decent comparison a few years ago but now its not even close. Ranveer is so far ahead.

I like both,but no.

Varun has to do a lot of work before that.

Ranveer can definitely do subdued roles.he has done lootera which people seem to forget.

October was one of my fav movies from last year, sad that it's been ignored everywhere though.

But Varun has to do more of Octobers and badlapurs in order to be called as good as ranveer.

No , the comparison wouldn't hold a few years back either, sorry.

Ranveer did Lootera in 2012, a mere 2 years into the movie biz.

He was 2 movies old !!!, shooting Lootera ( which had issues so he went and shot another movie and then came back in autumn 2012).

Not even Ranbit could give such performance after 2 or 3 movies.

Watch Lootera- and see where we come from. Gully Boy was excellent and you can see his improved craft, but see the rawness in Lootera.

SO yeah, Ranveer is in a class of his own.

I have seen him in Bajirao and then went and watched all the movies with him. And he made me fall in love with Indian movies. None of the names paraded about managed that.

And I like Varun- but he has a lot more work to do, to get where Ranveer is.
