Major part of the movie was shot in Europe, it probably didn't get much subsidy from that country for there was no big name attached... They could make it with 30 cr because Vicky and Yami didn't charge as much as A listers or starkidsstarkids do. The movie would've cost min 50cr if made with A listers. What I'm trying to say is 30cr is decent budget if you don't count the leads remuneration. No way it was a small scale or small movie. Even the producer is a biggie starting afresh.

Me too. After reading members reviews here, the film was underwhelming for me. Yes it was a well made, well acted film. But in terms of story and thrill factor, I expected much more. The film worked cos of Vicky, he was brilliant.

Agree! Except that 'how's the josh'(which btw has caught on like wildfire already and will surely end up being iconic), for an Army movie I felt it didn't pack much of a punch in terms of the powerful and catchy dialogs...Also that whole Garud thingy nearly put me to sleep...😕

Last 30 mnts kinda saved the show for me and brought me back into it!

Mohit Raina too deserves a mention btw...Good screen presence and apt performance!👏

I just checked Wiki. It says 45 Crs as its Budget. I think 45 Crs comes under small - medium budget films, right?

Mayb they talking about the cost at which its sold to the distributers..its obviously not too high considering it dint hv a star ..yeh baat alag hai ki after uri ,vicky is a star now 😎

Border still holds the record in footfalls ..i think its in top 5 footfalls ever ..so that movie was class apart ..Uri I guess in recent time is one of the best war movies ..

Totally deserves it. Seen it twice already in the theater and there are plans on for a third time with friends! I have never seen an entire theater so engaged in a film. There were claps, cheering, collective gasps, and so much more. The Josh is just so damn high 👏
