MAMI is one of the most prestigious and serious platforms of Bollywood. It is their only International film festival, and previous chairpersons (equivalent to DP's position now) have been people like Yash Chopra, Kiran Rao, Zoya Akhtar etc.

This is a big move by Deepika.. she's leading a group which has people like Zoya Akhtar, Kjo, Anupama Chopra etc.

Interested to see what she brings to the table, she's definitely moving into a new role of more content, in production, acting, and now platform. Now if only she would sign more movies...

Oh and Kjo gang is definitely shaking !!!

Yada Yada Yada she got the job cos of asslicking the Ambanis, also no senior actress with some amount of stardom is free. Like I said velliness worked for her.
