Also, I'm so happy this article came out and it says that she wasn't sure and so candidly said didn't know much about film festivals organisation. This is so much better than just signing films. She's actually taking part, even before as a board member, in what happens in that field. Wow 😊

These kind of chair heads or Rajyasabha nominations are bit of nuisance for people with active professional life.

Sachin Tendulkar getting Rajyasabha membership was considered an honour. Poor guy opened his mouth once there. But no one was listening. Later he was criticised for not attending Rajyasabha regularly. That's why I feel, active people should not take up such roles.

If someone is not happy with MAMI's choice, she will have to defend it on behalf of the board. Unnecessary confrontation. Why does she need this headache? Earlier choices like Shabana or Jaya Bacchan were good. These people are confrontationalists who like to speak and are not busy with anything else.

Why is Kiran stepping down? She wants to direct a movie (active role in films). Is not Deepika as busy as her?

If Deepika's attendance/time is not expected, if they want to use only her name, then fine. I still don't know what she will gain, but at least she won't loose anything.
