When you pause or rewind, you not only break the flow of the film and the story that's remaining but you also get to see the imperfections hidden which impacts the viewing experience in the mind. You might have got that scene right in it's second viewing but the viewing pattern is hampered.

I mean obviously at the end of the day it's a personal choice but cinema and films are made with the intent of being watched together as a whole without any breaks instead of pause and rewind. I think it's also about our attention span these days which is becoming shorter and shorter with every passing year.

@Bold: That's my biggest problem watching a movie at home...Unless the movie has super packed screenplay, I find myself getting easily diverted by anything and everything and then eventually I end up losing interest in that movie only altogether...I only prefer watching song&dance type of movies at home!

I would say, if the Movie is not of HNY type,.. watch it at late night with wireless headphones when all R' at sleep, or no1 is at home,... Family watch at home is always disturbing with Kids' noise, unwanted phone-calls and few movie-hater own family members of middle speakings,.. ! Lucky me, .. have no kids or other family members to disturb,... plus I can also dim the lights and angle in many many ways,.. and can create theater like watch,... Can take breaks for pee-piss-poo,-dinner, and any kinds breaks of tiredness,... and resume next day,...

I am now used to for home-watch only,... Now thx to da technology,. ( also my USA living n' private rooms,.. ) . I am too lazy to go to theater to match their times and traveling,.. / driving miles,... buying ticket havocs,.. etc,.. I need my own home comfort - sofa, couch, long legs,.. with loose trousers with feet elongated, Pizza, pop corn plates, coke-can on side table,..also few love-scenes , fight, chase and unheard dialects to rewind,... My recent experience while watching Rhea in " Jalebi" was so heavenly and while gazing/ogling Rhea nycly woven into the story,..and watching that movie , I had to literally pause it many a times with a feel that this movie perhaps may never end,.. like a most favorite, "barfi ka tukra,.." Last time I had same feeling while watching Sonam's rhaaanzhna,.

Also tell ya, certain stars can not speak and pronounce clear and have to rewind for some key-words,... In Sarkar 3, what Big B speaks I had to rewind for his almost every dialect,...

Sadly,..I do not have any luck with this guy,...

Brijendra Kala,... and 95 percent of times I could never interpret his any of da dialects,.. I doubt, and still wonder,... how the others do/could ...and how the director passes it , with a green flag,..!! So , with Arsad warsi and few others,.. couple of times,...

Tell ya,... I am too lazy to go to theater now, while having,... 55"+ SONY - Bravia of 1200+ pixel,.. too,..

Glad I am not the only one, it was hyped out to be the best thriller but I didn't think it was that great. It was predictable in most parts and I didn't feel the ending also did the justice. I was quite disappointed since it was hyped up so much.

Oh and this notion that we are disappointed because it was hyped is also wrong at least in my case. I watch almost all movies after reading reviews And on top of my head I can think of at least two movies, Drashym and Raid..both were hyped up and both came through. Ps: didn't watch them in theater either. Andhadhun def felt short in the second half and that's the truth.

I missed watching Dangal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the theatre and both met the high expectations I had when I watched them on Tv.

Many a times it happens,... you never know,.. where Public reactions and waves can take it to,...

Long long ago,.. when da Movies Sholey and Ek duje ke liye,... and Karz,... had come ( they had come in theaters without any pre - drums,... unlike,... Mera naam joker, Bobby, Kranti, Razia Sultana, Kurbaani, ...etc - they had loads of drums in advance,...) just as an ordinarily way,.. and few friends including me,..and ppl had seen it , very early, in a very normal way,... like in da first 1-2 weeks,.. ( just hoping it, to be somewhat we are to gonna see, average one,.. and if it's better by chance,. , than it's our luck... ) .just like a normal movie,...
and after watching, had opinions like , it's just fine and may be perhaps, slightly a little above average and better than at least our hopes,.. kind of opinions,.. !!

Later,... say 3-5 weeks later around,... da whole nation like gone crazy on those,... it exploded like a Blast, that smthg never came before,... and we all had to watch it second times,...again,... thinking,... OMG,.. what was that , that we missed in it, the first time,...

So ? Public waves also is sometimes very crazy,... and hard to guess,... !
