Now come on you two. Not everyone can go to theater for a movie.

Family with kids can't take em all. It depends on ratings. Also, these days lot of viewers have already spent on big TVs and building home theatre (NRIs 😆 )

Last movie I watched in theater was Dangal. Not sure when the next will be. 😆

Anyways the point is. Theater or no theater. One can enjoy the movie. I watched Andhadhun at home, I liked it. It was brilliant. In fact, all my friends watched it at home and we had some pretty intense discussions about it. It was fun!

Thrillers and horror movies both are overrated . I enjoy reading thrillers and imagining rather than watching on screen.

NM :

^^ For all Abroad living NRIs, it's too difficult to match the Movie shows of the far located theaters, to tally with our own schedule and timings, also weather a factor, distance a problem,.. taking the whole family to say,...even PG type movies like HNY / Shimmba type of movies will also a lot expensive ,... for entire family,... !

So, best bet be,
either buy/rent a DVD as soon as it's released from a local Indian store,... and circulate among friends and relatives,... You can even ripp DVD to a 8GB flash ( maintaining same qlty.. using PC DVD ripper applications,.. ) and circulate to other relatives that thumb drive,..who have smart TVs...

Or,..

have a friends/family/ internet-friends here kind of circle,... and do " Soldiery "

You take Netflix
I take Amazon Prime,
He takes YuppTV,..
She takes Hot star,..
Another He /She takes,... Comcast / DishTv / Verizon's Indian channel...

... and share internally digital login accounts among all trusted friends n' relatives ,... So, now you have all,... with economical prices,... and whichever Movies whoever puts it first,..

For example, right now, I m watching,.. Movie Baaghi-2,.. n'
Only hotstar has it,.. and it's not on Netflix and Amazon yet,...

Location is surely a hindrance in watching movie in theater. I watch most movies when I visit NJ. Crowd there is fun so it makes movie watching fun too. PA crowd is boring. 😆

And you are right about sharing streaming sites.
We share Sling TV and Amazon prime. Prime allows 2 accounts and Sling allows 3.
Netflix and Hotstar we have for us.

Not sure how often I have seen this type of post..something gets popular and lots of hype and there are always some who don't like it..which is fine but why be "shocked" or ask if you are the only one who didn't like it (you are never the only one..). Just because most people like something doesn't mean you have to as well

But this Could be the first thread for Andhadun

I've not seen a single post criticizing this movie or not saying best thriller ever until now

I am on Delaware line on East coast, so it needs lots of travelling ( Honey is not so mad 4 Movies so, giving an extra burden to her, not worth,.. also,.. as Indo audience always comes in group, so you alone standing will be weird, if yr known mates meets you there,. and DE theaters play only a few and limited show, ( only for very famous ones ) which you have to catch, per their timing,.. not worth,... Truly,.. . I like my own silent, dark night movie hours after 10 PM in an adjusted lights and in a loose homely night relax able dress with legs and hands spreaded in relaxable mode and mood...

For sling TV, I have screen and pass, but it's for American TV,.. regular channels and extra special ones, like, CNN, HBO, Showtime, Discovery, Sports, wild life,..,.. etc
Hotstar is free if you are in US, so need not to take,..." Leonflix " is also free for US movies nad series and works great and clean for PC ( I had explained on " Recent Movie Reviews threads ", in my 8-10 posts back there, somewhere.. )

IMO, Andgadhun is for sure one time watch and not in that any bore-dom zone,... it holds,... it's good,... but not to that level like, "Movie of the year ",.. ! IMO If you take an average of recent,... Stree, Kaarwaan, Rajma chawal, Badhai Ho,.. then it's for sure a slightly higher than that overall average,...
