no, he started with ads and music videos and struggled a lot before getting his first film. His dad wasn't that involved in his life and his mom is not a star. He even taught dance for Shiamak Davar and supported his mom and Ishaan financially.

Regarding Padmavati screen space, I personally think there was no other way to expand the story than bring in Khilji. I for once definitely did not like how SLB romanticized his barbarity onscreen but there was no way the three would get equal screen space. Everyone knew about the legend of Padmaavati.The most important part of the story is the Jauhar which cannot be streched for three hours (though SLB did manage to drag Jauhar as much as he could 😆), Ratan Singh is like any othrr king. The audience has seen such display of valour in BL and Jodha Akbar. So the only bacha kucha interest would be in Khilji's story which was unknown to us. So that was SLB's only way of dragging the storyline and turning it into a film. Warna who will go so deep on Mehrunissa and Khilji on a film about Padmavati. The movie had no content waise hi so he used Khilji to drag the film .

tbh i dont know wat else slb cud hav added to give shahid more screen space, coz wat was shown in the film was all of ratans parts of the story, unless shahid also wanted a song in the film which honestly wud not hav suited his character

khilji was just a meatier character, and ranveer was onboard way before shahid signed the film, shahid signed it just 20 days before they started shooting, so slb had already planned out the whole film

I loved this episode.

It is always a treat to watch Shahid's unconditional love for Ishaan.

Ishaan is kind of Shahid's first baby. I have a younger brother & I have beaten guys older to me when they were bullying him. I have lashed them when they were badmouthing him. So, I know where he is coming from.

And those who are saying Shahid is a nepotism product, I will say he is a son of good actors but not stars. He was never offered a movie on a platter. He auditioned so many times & got rejected. in fact, Ishq Vishk was also supposed to be a story of too many leads but Ken Gosh was impressed with his acting & changed the story into a love triangle.

Unlike many star kids or rich ppl who got chance in the industry because of money, he had to live in a small apartment and had to earn early by teaching dance in Shaimak's class. I am not saying this because I am his fan coz its the truth. In fact, old pics of Shahid's house can tell how common, normal & middle-class upbringing he had.

Also, him not letting Ishaan speak much or getting pissed off with Arjun is because he had to bear the taunts of the star kids & was made fun by KJO & his gang in the starting of his career & he does not want Ishaan to go through this. Every elder sibling wants his younger sibling not to make the same mistakes.

As for him being pissed at SLB, he has every right to. Not always what is promised to an actor is delivered on the screen. SLB did say that it will be a role of a lifetime for Shahid & we all know it wasn't (And before you all say he acted badly, then director's vision can also impact actor's acting. We have all seen him playing the role of Haider to the T). In fact, even Deepika was sidelined. If the film was not directed by SLB & if Ranveer was not Khilji, she might have said something herself.

I know many people here hate Shahid, dislike him to pieces but at the heart, he is an introvert man who is way too protected about his family & can't help it. In beginning, he never used to stand for himself but his love for Ishaan is to the next level. And he is more brother to Ishaan than Arjun can ever be to Jhanvi.

Sorry for the lecture but I am tired of the never-ending bashing of Shahid. Not everyone can fake to be friends with the glamorous industry who can stab your back at any moment.

PS- I usually avoid bashing or bad-mouthing actors here coz I know they are somebody's favourite but it's sad to see others who love their favourites so dearly just disrespect & badmouth any actors even their fans to praise their favourites. I remember, it was Koffee with Karan only where one actor dissed the acting of another (which was one of his best performances). Everyone is entitled to their oponions even actors.

Movie tou movie hoti hai.. Kcuh bhi ghussa do😆 Its not Khilji actually was like a GOT love sick lover in reality.. Its not like the real Khilji danced like a maniac with his subordinates.. Tou jab itni bakwas daal sakte the tou bechare baki do ko bhi tou kuch karne dete... DP at least had the johar scene.. Shahid bechare ko tou kuch nahi mila.. Raja Ratan was naive and easily trusting yes, lekin tha tou rajput warrior hi na.. Ek adha chunna munna sa war scene with someone else hi dikha dete k Shahid ko thora acting karne ka mauka tou mile😆

Shahid and Ishaan dancing on Gandi Baat was the best part of the show. I wanted it go on cos they are both such good dancers and they were so much in sync 😆

P.S. It was cute how Shahid was protective about Ishaan. Karan is just ridiculously obsessed with everyone's love/sex life 🤪

It was kinda boring episode, specially all the constant talks about janvi-ishaan relationship was such a put off. I don't even think they are dating and can they at least wait for some years before going overboard with their relationship talks. At least do some films. But then they are dharma kids, inka pr ka source sirf yehi hai.

I am not fond of shahid but I really liked him here. His protectiveness for ishaan was evident and I found it sweet. They both have a nice relationship. Even ishaan came across as a happy-sweet guy. Has he signed any film post dhadak?

The game thing was the best part, I enjoyed that.
