I think it's logical that a boy living in jungle will not have a perfect haircut. He shouldn't even wear an underwear, but I can understand that as censor will not allow it.

Ideally hair should be matted. And he shouldnt be walking upright either.

We had a story in school about real life wolf children. 2 kids raised by wolves. I guess this book was inspired by that or maybe not. Wolves have maternal instincts towards humans it seems.

It's all fiction just like his White man's burden.

because small children tend to look the same and slightly feminine.. and since he has long hair, he looks more feminine.

Well I don't know how he/she identifies themselves with so got to be careful. It's getting harder and harder for me to use Sir, Mam etc. I try to tread carefully cuz almost everyone gets offended 😆
