Btw, what versatility are his fans talking about? Har film mein different versions of hyperexcited aur tharki hi toh play karta hai. I haven't watched lootera but thats probably just one different role.
That said, can't take away from him that he is extremely hardworking. His best for me was BBB. I actually liked him back then 😲

I feel Ranveer's performances in his SLB films are more or less overrated. That's not to say I didn't like those performances. It's just that I did not understand the immense hype around them either, and I have genuinely loved Ranveer from the beginning of his career (i.e. BBB, Lootera, DDD). However, his last few performances were not AS GREAT as they were made out to be. I personally would not call any of his recent performances memorable.
Also, Ranveer has gotten a lot of free passes as to how he is immensely versatile when compared to Ranbir in particular ..especially over the past few years ever since Ranveer started this SLB saga.. and in my opinion, all of his performances seemed repetitive and nothing path-breaking. As some others have mentioned, it will be interesting to see how Ranveer does with his next few films since thankfully, no SLB for now.

^^ I agree. I liked him in BBB. I thought he was some guy from Delhi and was shocked to learn that he has always been a Bombay guy. Even Ram leela he was good. But I hated him in BM and Padmavat. Esp BM. God I hated that movie with a passion!!

Like everyone said the non SLB movies should help Ranveer get back into the groove and bring back his better performances.

Same opinion! .. He's a good actor but last few movies with SLB has made him monotonous! .. good he has picked up Simmba, Gully Boy and few other non-SLB projects... it'll be interesting to see his graph from HERE!

RS was so wooden and expressionless in Lootera he was easily overshadowed by sonakshi who was the clear standout and she's the MVP of that slow and boring, snoozefest of a film! Lootera belonged to sonakshi only, whereas RS was just a bloody showpiece!

The way u act is influenced by your personality type. Rs acts like Madhuri intrinsically by internalising the character.

He is damn overrated. Tried to like him but in vain. He's enjoying all his current popularity and being compared with the likes of Ranbir, Varun etc. all thanks to Deepika and their relationship. Otherwise he is just another Bollywood wannabe and would have been washed away years back. Deepika literally catapulted him to the current status he's enjoying. He should be forever thankful to her.

He is ugly and pretty average from all standards. Doesn’t look like a Bollywood hero material at all. I’m pretty sure he will flop within 2...
