Even I am little disappointed with rannbhoomi getting postponed. But the delay with the dance film is valid. Varun has delayed the film because he was not happy with script. Also he must have got tensed after seeing race 3. So it will be better if they come back with better script, I don't trust remo at all.

Also he has kalank as big budget film.

Don't the producers then suffer losses when they undersell their movies, how does it work.

They compensate the loss with satellite/streaming rights, product endorsement, not paying the lead, music rights. Loss shayad zyada nahin tha.

Oh a huge chunk of money producers get from subsidy from foreign location.

Remo d'souza is good with dance movies. ABCD 2 on pre GST era did 114cr with low budget. Here ABCD 3 is huge budget movie and varun is much bigger star now and on top of that katrina is also there. Sky is the limit for ABCD 3 and Yes karan postponed Rannbhomi because of Takht as he want all the attention on his directorial movie. You could see the excitement of people for Rannbhomi which is much more than Takht. I don't know why varun agreed to do mediocre movie first instead of this huge movie.

BS. Only Aamir/Salman's movies get 70-100cr from satellite rights, others lie to make people believe that their movie is already a hit before release. ADHM's TRP was so low... so was Bajirao's why would they pay 60-80cr to these producers when Tiger or Rajkumar Rao's flop movies get higher TRP?

Besides these satellite rights and other rights money go to the producers... distributors still have to recover their money from ticket sell only. Unless the producer is the distributor (Like YRF) or the distributors paid more money than its market price and took satellite right in return (Only Eros does that)... money from other sources doesn't help a movie get hit status.
