Reading the post I dont think Shilpa pointed out any racism. She was just commenting on the rude and unreasonable behavior of the staff Mel. The article writer has made it out to be racism.

People in Melbourne city are not racist (thats from my personal experience, but airports - yes..I did have an experience where they made all Indians stand in a line and let the dogs take a sniff at our bags (probably because we are notorious for carrying thepla, khakra chhunda etc), but it was very offensive..😕
but again, Melbourne city folks are some of the sweetest ones Ive met..

another experience was at HK airport..IDK if its me, but the Cantonese people, mainland HK folks are just damn rude, arrogant and prickly to deal with.

I don't think so it was racism.
Some of the airport authorities behave rudely with their own desi people.

There is a big difference between a rude employee and a racist employee...the latter being a serious accusation...from what she wrote...that was an ill behaved employee, maybe didn't know the check in policy of the airlines...needs better training...but Shilpa assumed she was a racist...

I already explained. What do you deem racism? Plunging a knife into a person and then shouting "Go back to your country" Or something?
Serious accusation or not, brown or white, people facing customers have to adopt a modicum of respect towards the customers. And that's what Shilpa asked for.

Just that one thing people should be aware of, Australians are the most racist bunch out there

Nah not necessarily. I was born and raised in Sydney and of middle eastern appearance, yet not once have I ever been subject to racism in my life. The majority of racist people are usually the uneducated 'bogans' that live off welfare and shout out from their pot-headed-beer-bellied voices to 'assimilate or fc*k off.' Thankfully, they do not represent the majority of Australians who actually have their brain still intact.

Don't see anything racist, we make a big cry about anything like our sensationalized media even throw in a few heart touching bolly songs in for good measure to make it even more melodramatic
