Only snapshot of the comments. Why no photo of Abram?
It is wrong to compare polytheistic society like Hinduism with monotheistic Abrahamic religions. Having said, one cannot deny Hindu cultural influence on average Indian Muslims and Christians (not celebrities). These acts are neither praiseworthy, nor an offence. It is just normal.

Nope. Only Christianity and Islam state that it's sinful to worship anyone other than formless God. Islam is particularly vehement about it.

Hinduism is very inclusive and accommodating since it accepts all forms of worship. You can worship idols as well as a formless God.

In Hinduism, the case is different wherein there are some temples where females are not allowed and only males can worship those Gods and it's considered a sin if females do so.

It's common in every religion where such people do talk about what's sinful and what's not and this is the case without one doing anything illegal. I don't believe in judging a person as a sinner merely on the basis or his religion, caste, gender, culture or country but unfortunately it's very common to do so for not only extremists but for other normal people too.

Such temples are very rare; not a general phenomenon. In Islam, on the other hand, females are not allowed inside the inner chamber of a mosque anywhere.

Such 'normal' people are actually extremists.

Nope. I have seen many such temples and pandits themselves who believe women can't worship the God as it would be a sin. Not rare but a true fact. A holy place should be open to all and one shouldn't be restricted on the basis of gender or religion.

My intention was not to put down any religion but just state that every religion has such restrictions (including my own) which are based on various factors that are considered sinful so there's no point saying my religion doesn't do it and only other religions do it. If one considers a religion inferior and theirs superior, that's what is considered extremism.

Yes, that is true. There are temples where men aren't allowed.

But these temples aren't highlighted because that wouldn't suit the propoganda of showing Indian society as patriarchal
