Industry kid is probably the right term...and which action director is famous with the audience anyways? That doesnt mean they are not well connected to the who's and who's of the industry.. Sham Kushal is a well known name in the industry.

Possibly because Vicky didn't got any big launch.
Even when he did a great role in Masaan, he was not praised or hyped like a Ranbir or Alia or Varun would have been. I mean f**king Sooraj Pancholi got FF award when Vicky did Masaan.

But I agree with you on one small thing, people especially the anti-nepotism gang forget that most of the people in the craft are insiders, the unguided hatred towards Varun and Alia is kinda silly.

This industry worships actors, actresses, then producers, directors and writers(now not so much maybe).

So in that sense he may have gotten some small way in but not such big help because even he started with small roles in Luv shuv and BV.

before massan he was unknown.
