From the original interview

As for her own experience, it seems Padukone has certainly encountered her fair share of sexism. There were lots of things I was advised [to do]. To get a boob job, do the beauty pageants. They felt it was the right way to be recognised or picked up by a Bollywood director or producer. It might be an easier way to achieve what you want to achieve. But I haven't been that person; I've always followed my gut.'

She wasn't talking about sexual harassment here but on sexist practises being advised to impress a director or producer.

Also this isn't sexism many male strugglers are also advised a lot of things on a daily basis
Obviously producers would want to look them in a certain way for their movies if they arent liking they should feel free to move out

Let's assume title is click-bait but her response is in reply to a question she was asked about ME TOO campaign which was about sexual harassment so why is she linking an advice on physical appearance ( which both male and female actors get ) to a topic of ME TOO 😕

Firstly there was no Question and Answer format so we don't know what the exact question was. But she brought up beauty pageants and some consider them degrading so maybe the writer thought there's their chance to bring up sexism in the article?

Secondly this was her response to whatever was asked about ME TOO

In the meantime, is Hollywood calling? Mired in sexual abuse allegations and the birth of the #MeToo movement, I wonder if the exposure of Hollywood's darker side has prompted a similar outcry in Bollywood. We're in the same position as the rest of the world, I think we're all in this together,' she says. There's so much more awareness. There are so many people who speak up and I think in the same way that we see the wheels moving in the right direction globally, I see the same thing happening in India as well.'

Telling someone to do the beauty pageants is sexism, kaise? People hesitate to buy brand name-less products. Miss India/World, someone's son/bhatija/beti are like brand names, these help aam aadmi decide whether they'd buy the product or not. Sexism kahan se aa tapka iss mein?
