Crores of rupees in the bank and popularity
that doesn't allow you to visit the
supermarket isn't enought to make one
immune from certain realities of life.
Deepika Padukone has been vocal about
her battle with depression, that came at the
peak of her success, but she's never really
spoken about facing sexual harassment.
Until now.
In a new interview to the Evening Standard,
the actor was asked about the climate in
Bollywood in the wake of the Me Too and
Time's Up campaigns that changed the
industry abroad. "There's so much more
awareness, she said. "There are so many
people who speak up and I think in the
same way that we see the wheels moving
in the right direction globally, I see the
same thing happening in India as well.
She said that she, too, was put under
pressure early in her career. "There were
lots of things I was advised (to do), she
said. "To get a boob job, do the beauty
pageants. They felt it was the right way to
be recognised or picked up by a Bollywood
director or producer. It might be an easier
way to achieve what you want to achieve.
But I haven't been that person; I've always
followed my gut.

May 10, 2018 for the screening of the film
Sorry Angel (Plaire, Aimer et Courir Vite) at
the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival
in Cannes. (AFP)
Following the New York Times and New
Yorker investigations into film producer
Harvey Weinstein, almost a hundred women
came forward with their own stories of
having faced harassment from him. The
reports led to huge public outcry, which
revealed scores of other prominent names
in the film industry as habitual abusers of
power.
The movement has been largely ignored in
India, where several reasons such as fear,
apathy have been given. Several actors such
as Kalki Koechlin and Richa Chadha have
said that sexual harassment exists in
Bollywood, but no one has revealed any
names so far.
Deepika is coming off a Rs 300 crore
success in the controversial Padmaavat, not
to mention the $300 million success of her
debut Hollywood film, xXx: The Return of
Xander Cage. Deepika is expected to reprise
her role in a sequel to xXx although she
hasn't announced any new Bollywood films
yet.

I don't think anybody should advice anyone any of the correction procedures. This is a personal thing and when anybody says such things then it creates insecurity in that person's head.
I have seen people say Jahnvi/Shilpa Shetty needed that Nose Job. IDT it is incorrect to get anything done if you wish to do it. I don't agree with Natural is the best and shizz but I disagree with the pressure coz all of these things come with huge risks too.

Agreed. A lot of these people are happy with the way they look until someone says something negative. Anushka had said she thought she was beautiful and then Adi came in with his criticism 😔

There are people in the industry who feel they have a right to do that... I knew this girl who was a struggler...she was advised to put on weight, even though she was totally fit and fine... they said people like to watch fuller woman... poor girl wud eat icecreams n kulfis every night... still she never got any opportunity...

critics before and after
before: oh look at her/his ugly face, body...she/he need go under knife. go consult a better carpenter for the job done.

after: look at him/her, they were not happy with what they have. no confidence at all. full of plastic/silicon/sponze... yada yada yada

moral of the story:

whatever you decided to do, make sure it makes you happy. dont feel guilty for doing what is best for you, no one else's opinion should matter. duniya jaye bhaad mein

It's not sexual harassment!! It may b advice.
Anyways non of the top actress or new bees have fuller boobs. On the contrary earlier actresses were more curvy. Now a day's women in general and as well actresses, smaller boobs and more menstrual irregularity problems. Whatever little actresses have reduces more with there gym addiction. They are building more arm and thigh muscles and reducing boobs.

And my observation in real life I have seen. Women with bigger boobs and fuller face are more generous. I

How is advising on boob job a sexual harassment 😕 Bas kuch bhi kehna hai achcha banne ke liye and news me rehne ke liye🥱
If this is sexual harassment then majority people on the forum are perpetrators for advising these actor/actresses day and night on their physical and sexual appeal .
