Sanjay Dutt going to jail right before Khalnayak didn't hamper that film's HISTORICAL Opening, what will his whitewashing image will do to film... Audience is crazy for is controversies, they were in 90's & seeing Sanju's Advance, they still are crazy for his Controversies, now more then before as now they will know whole story.

Hirani has done it with 3 Idiots & PK, back in 2009 there was TOI article as how Delhi Plex rates go way high for his film despite getting awesome response from audience, means it was deliberate effort from distributor to raise prices, more than normal. At the time of PK, a controversy was added with inflated price. In both the cases, end result was high.

Actual WOM will flow from Tuesday onward, till that time Media will pump this film to be Biggest of all time by quoting Top critics reviews. By Hook or Crook, Hirani film has to score, that's the goal here.

If audience is willing to pay for it, then why shouldn't makers raise the ticket prices? The goal of the makers is to make the most money possible, not having the most footfalls like some of the Bhai try to convince us?

Sanjay Dutt's a Hindi film star, ppl showed their interest when SADAK / KHALNAYAK came, agar woh dono FLOP hoti, then Audience would have been less interested in SANJU... but they were big hits, so now SANJU has all the chance to be in same kind of big hit category.

Azhar was based on that cricketer whose time was long gone... Sanjay's controversy in 90's pumped his films running at same time.

Whenever a New Film comes, it is in High Inflated range normally from previous Big films. Added, Weekend rates which are also increased... this is normal trend, u will see in most films.

Hirani films are special, now he will sell his 2D film at 3D film's ticket rate... why not 4DX rates, woh bhi karlo, Bahubali 2 bhi paar ho jayegi.
