Where else did he play a musician?? His body of work speaks for itself fans doesn't really have to defend him for his craft atleast unlike the man child who refuse to grow up *talking of the characters not the actor*.

Hmm...Rockstar and ADHM...anyway it's not about the profession the character has it's about how different the characters are in terms of personality, background, looks etc.

Ranveer plays a chichora in every film be it a period film or a rom com atleast no crticc ever called any actor "electrocuted monkey" except the so called versatile one lol.
