Recently Seen Movies - 11

The sets were well made but many of the scenes the VFX was bad enough to be obvious. Among the actors Ranveer overdid the villain act in certain scenes but in most scenes he was fine. Deepika too was fine. Shahid though was competent as an actor looked grossly miscast for the role of the Rajput king. His character came across as foolish who was hung on pride of his community when none of his community members turned up to help him out.

Two scenes which I took away from the movie was when Padmavati asks permission from Ratan Singh to commit jauhar and he assents. Since she knew what a proud man he was it probably broke her heart to ask that of him. It was like telling him he would lose. The other scene which stayed was when they take leave from each other and look at each other as if saying 'So! This is it!'.

Den Of Thieves - A good bank heist thriller action movie in a long time

Just watched Den Of Thieves. Its a new movie released in late 2017 or maybe early 2018.

Anyway, I have missed seeing some bank heist or some such plot type of movies for quite some time. This movie is not at the calibre of Heat with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro but is good.

If you like a good thriller and action movie with an actual storyline, then go for this movie.

It is set in my favorite locale for such movies - Los Angeles!

Its about a team who pull off complex bank robberies. Major Crimes division of LAPD are trying to track down this gang but there is no evidence nor a trace of who they are.

And now the gang plans one more heist...

Its a fun movie... has a few twists and the ending is also good.

I thought it will be another time pass movie

But it was good

I would rate it 3 to 3.5
