I don't understand the hatred and criticism towards cosmetic surgeries?!

Do you mock people when they get braces?

Their livelihood literally depends on their bodies..

They have to do it to look good and perfect. Not everyone is perfectly proportioned or natural beauty from birth.

Heck even common public do it, why be so harsh on celebs.?

I dont mind plastic surgeries that are done aesthetically and make a person look prettier. But the obsessively done certain implants or surgeries gone wrong is not good to see and makes me feel that the person is trying too hard to look good or isn't happy with oneself.

Agreed...its like everybody needs to upgrade their skills for their job to get better or to get a better job...don't people do all kinds of courses and certifications...similarly...these actors whose major part of their profession are their faces and bodies...try to fix it by surgeries or other cosmetic enhancements to better themselves in their careers...i don't blame them...but they have to be careful because its their face and body...if something goes wrong there is no turning back.

people only get criticised if the cosmetic surgery actually make them look worse.

it is a personal choice and i respect that

at times..some celebs get so addicted to it and the results are not good..esp when naturally pretty faces start looking bad due to overdone procedures..more than anything..i feel like asking them..do they not see how much better they look without it..

courteny cox for example..was so addicted to her fillers and botox and it made me sad seeing what she is doing to her naturally pretty face..thank God..she got all her fillers dissolved and looks good again now

I don't criticise plastic surgery but I also don't support it. Neither do I look for perfection in any actor or actress.I wish they were accepted without all these unnecessary risks and health hazards they take for this profession.

It' absolutely people's choice to do whatever they want with their body.

But from what I have seen, cosmetic surgery really starts showing after an age and everyone who has got some sort of job done end up looking similarly horrible.

I think people should stop dictating how others need to lead their life. Do you like when relatives/neighbors interfere in your life and try to tell you what you should do or shouldn't? Then why do the same to others. It's their body and they are only one who has right over it. If they want to tweak their look and undergo surgery using their own money, why should we have a problem?

I agree, even common folks do it nowadays if they have the money...I mean rich people who can afford it . There are ads on TV for such cosmetic surgery clinics.

Actors and actresses have to maintain their looks, if they feel some part of face or body is sagging or ageing fast they have to do it because their face and body is what sells and they have to look good onscreen.

But I dont approve of it either...sometimes botched up PS makes them look worse than before...best example is Vaani...she was pretty before she messed up her face. There are dozens of such examples in Hollywood too.
