While the final figures for BAAGHI 2 are still being compiled, the movie is expected to have crossed approx. 3.4 mil. USD [Rs. 22.12 cr.] in overseas in its opening weekend. It has registered the *second highest opening weekend of 2018* in overseas after PADMAAVAT [12 mil. USD]. Baaghi 2 has held very well on Monday despite bandhs across many states in the country especially in areas where the film was doing its best business be it Bihar, MP or UP. The film is looking to be in the 10-11 crore nett mark and theatres where there bandhs could have opened late evening to take it higher.
The fair value business on day one was around 21 crore nett (25 crore nett on Good Friday holiday) so despite many cities being closed across the country it has shown a fall of 50% or maybe less when final collections come. This fall would have been lower if there were not this violence and protests in many states across the country.
If things clear up tomorrow then the film should be able to make up this shortfall and show similar or even maybe better collections on Tuesday than Monday. The film is easily going over 100 crore nett in the first week with collections in the 110 crore nett range and looks set to emerge the second Blockbuster of the year. The eighth day business should confirm this.
Baaghi 2 has wrapped opening weekend with massive numbers. Numbers are very big everywhere but in mass circuits numbers are crazy. Film has seen unbelievably big numbers in mass circuits where numbers have come even better than recent Khan films except Sultan.
Film has raked in 5.7cr approx in it's opening Weekend which is second biggest opening Weekend of 2018 after Padmaavat. Movie has registered second biggest opening Weekend ever for any Hindi film outside Khan films. It has trended strongly over the Weekend and now it is down to crucial Monday to tell how big hit it will emerge.

Baaghi 2 grossed a huge 11.75 crore nett on Monday with the film suffering due to bandhs in many cities across the country. The film probably lost around 1 crore nett due to this and fair value for the Monday could be 12.50-13 crore nett.
The film could make up some of this business over the weekdays. Tuesday should remain steady witth chance of a 5% less drop than it would otherwise. The drop is under 55% from the first day which was a holiday so in real terms the drop is more towards the 40-45% range. The total business of the film is 84.75 crore nett and it will become the second highest grossing film of the year in six days. The week is looking to be around 115 crore nett.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha has emerged a BLOCKBUSTER and the first one for the Hindi film industry this year. There was Bahubali - The Conclusion this year but that film was from the Telugu film industry. Although its too early to judge the collections for Monday they will be in double digits for sure and possibly go above the first day business. North India has gone crazy for the film with Delhi / UP simply running riot on Monday. the Saturday growth in key markets suggest this but the way Delhi / UP is performing on Monday the film is going to dominate the box for sometime.
The film will also easily be the highest grosser in the career of Akshay Kumar and even can challenge his top inflation adjusted grossers but that can only be known in time. There is that big holiday to come tomorrow and on conservative estimates the film will cross 75 crore nett in five days, maybe even 80 crore nett. the prices of tickets have been kept same as the weekend as there is a holiday on Tuesday so that has helped collections a little but even without this the film would have held very just collected a crore or so less. Basically Akshay Kumar has been able to do what Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan could not and that is give a BLOCKBUSTER in 2017 and that is with a HIT (Jolly LLB 2) already behind him.
