BAAGHI 2 SAW SOME FALL ON MONDAY AFTER HUGE FIRST WEEKEND.

Baaghi 2 saw a fall of 60% approx on Monday compared to first day. Film has seen a fall of more than normal but that was expected as film came off from massive Weekend. Circuits still saw very good numbers on Monday which is a good sign.

Movie raked in 80lacs approx on Monday taking four days total to 6.5cr approx. Week One is looking to close around 9cr approx. It will hit 10cr in it's second Weekend which will be phenomenal result.

Friday.. 2cr

Saturday.. 2cr

Sunday.. 1.7cr

Monday.. 80lacs

Total.. 6.5cr

Baagh 2 Top Weekend Footfalls 2018 - Only 3 Films Hit 1 Crore

Baaghi 2 may have fell short of the Padmaavat weekend record of this year but it was comfortably the most watched film of the year in the first three days. The film got in close to 65 lakh people into the theatres over the first three days while it was around 60 lakh for Paddmavati.

Padmaavat was released on higher ticket rates across most multiplexes due to the hype and holiday period while Baaghi 2 was released on normal rates. Also Baaghi 2 had a far higher ratio of business coming from single screens which have lower ticket rates. The ratio of single screen business is even a little higher than Tiger Zinda Hai but less than Baaghi which scored heavily in single screens and less in multiplexes especially the major chains.

Pad Man had a slightly higher weekend than Raid in terms of collections but footfalls were slightly higher. The highest weekend footfalls this year so far are as follows.

1. Baaghi 2 - 64.65 lakhs

2. Padmaavat - 60.37 lakhs

3. Raid - 33.71 lakhs

4. Pad Man - 32.19 lakhs

5. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety - 22.73 lakhs

Baaghi did near 65 lakhs footfalls and the benchmark for weekend is 1 crore and only three films in the history have ever achieved is. One of course is Bahubali - The Conclusion while the other two are Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dhoom 3.

Tiger Zinda Hai just missed by a small margin and this benchmark will take some doing as they way ticket prices have risen in over the last 3 months a film needs over 120 crore nett to get there unless its a film like Baaghi 2 released on normal ticket rates.

BAAGHI 2 HAS CLOSED FIRST WEEK WITH EXCELLENT NUMBERS.

Baaghi has wrapped first week with very huge numbers. At some mass circuits Week One numbers have come biggest ever for any Hindi film outside Khan films. At multiplexes film has done well but numbers are not at the levels of Khan films or Padmaavat.

Film has registered 8.5cr approx in first Week which is second biggest of 2018 behind Padmaavat. Movie had phenomenal numbers over the Weekend but it saw falls over the Weekdays. Week One numbers have come less than Jab Harry Met Sejal which had steep falls over the Weekdays. It has retained huge number of shows in Week two and will hit 10cr mark by end of second Weekend. 10cr mark is hit by only Khans films, Golmaal Again and Padmaavat hence will be a very big achievement by Baaghi 2. In just seven days film has become 3rd Highest grosser of 2018 for any release behind Padmaavat and Parchi.

Baaghi 2 Records Extraordinary First Week

Baaghi 2 has had an extraordinary first week of 111.75 crore nett and for a film for its size it is just huge as it covers its production cost and pa with the first week India theatrical share. The share will be around 57-58 crore.

The film had a huge start of 25 crore nett but the key has been how well the film has held post Monday as these mass action films are front loaded. The business is outstanding all over with Mumbai at 34 crore nett plus. Delhi / UP has around 23 crore nett and East Punjab has grossed around 10 crore nett.

Bihar is huge at 6 crore nett while West Bengal where generally single screens dont collect well for Hindi films is at 4.85 crore as single screens did collect for this one. Basically every circuit is outstanding. A Tamil Nadu / Kerala has gone to 2.25 crore where most films dont even collect 1 crore nett. Raid was just 70 lakhs nett.

The first six day business of Baaghi 2 is as follows.

Friday - 25,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 20,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 27,50,00,000 apprx

Monday - 11,75,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 10,50,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 8,75,00,000 apprx

Thursday - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Total - 1,11,75,00,000 apprx

Now the second Friday will decide how big this film will become. It will domiate the box office this week but its not about but how big are the second week collections
