I am quite new to this forum.

I am a lover of good cinema, good acting, good direction and the like.

When I first joined the forum, I thought it was a discussion forum where people would give their opinions on films, acting, and everything related to Bollywood. Not everyone would agree with everyone, but that's how it always is, and everyone would indulge in a healthy debate with one another.

But what I see is a war zone, where groups of fans are constantly fighting and hurling abuses at each other. There is no healthy exchange of ideas. Fans worship their favourites as gods, and think that they can do no wrong. If anyone happens to think otherwise, they will bash them, be sarcastic with them, cast aspersions at them, be rude with them. Its pretty dictatorial. Its like, everyone has to like everything their favourites do, else, khair nahi unki.

Some of the threads are really toxic, and its really sad to see individuals being mean to other individuals for celebrities do don't even know or care about our presence.

P.S.- I know most people will bash here too, and say that forum ko leke itna complaints hai toh chali jao, don't stay yahaan. I just hope some can indulge in a healthy debate.

@Bold. Yes, you should leave and that is not bashing. You need to look up the meaning of bashing. Some people do not fit into a forum. Simple as that. You can take your toys and leave, nothing wrong with that.

Don't lecture people when you are 25 posts or paint yourself as holier-than-thou. if you don't like it leave.

I think people are misunderstanding my point here. My point is not that its too much for ME to take, and I am very distraught or something. I don't indulge in fights, neither plan to. I plan to stay on the forum and post comments on topics thats interest me, without bashing anyone.

My point is, that it's sad that unhealthy arguments, name calling, rudeness, bashing etc is needed to keep the forum happening and active. That just shows how we've all become as human beings. This is what we feed on.

Secondly, my dear, you certainly do not own the forum. So whether I should or should not leave is certainly not for you to say.

Thirdly, I have lectured no one. I have simply posted my opinion. If that is lecturing, then you need to look up the meaning of bashing.

Staying on a forum doesn't mean one has to like every aspect of it. One can give one's opinion, criticise as and when one wants to.

I haven't created a topic asking people who take part in fan wars to leave the forum. Hence, I will not be told to leave either.
