Lol. It's a war zone, alright. I was definitely shocked when I first came here because it was so brutal. Though after a while, you learn how to navigate and avoid obvious pitfalls. 😆😆

Nowhere have I written that I am better than anyone here. My post was to understand and indulge in a debate regarding why the bashing and name calling takes place. People have given their two cents on the matter, and have said that it is the bashing that keeps the forum from dying. Cool.

Thank God, SOME have been able to understand the intent of the post and have commented and shared their thoughts respectfully, as should be done. Common sense.

And yes, you are definitely entitled to your opinion and have full rights to post it. Just wish you had the ability to express your opinion decently, like most others have in this thread.

This forum thrived because people are passionate about movies and stars. You saw fanwars. I have seen people passionately defend an actor or a movie, champion independent and obscure movies, know who actors like Vibrant Massey or Bhumi Padnekar are long before they become mainstream. We have people like ImagineMe who for years has conducted a BOIFA award (BW Forum awards). Out of hundreds less than a hundred participate but she does it every year for the third year now. These people don't know me or even my name, but many of them were there for a family crisis I faced. So look around before you write a post like your TM Post.

@Bold The reason I asked you to leave is because you only saw bad in only 25 posts and wrote a post about it. Nothing good. You saw chaos. You may turn out to be one of those enthusiastic folks who report and report because they can't handle fan wars. Such a place may not be suitable for you. So it is better you leave because you really do not seem to have a clue how a forum works.

We had people who were like you and tried to create order by welding the report button and complaining. Forum died because no one wants to come to a place which is policed heavily and people who try to censor others because they do not like how it is. This forum thrives because of the good and the bad. The passion of people who write essays. I have watched it became almost empty because people complained. So if you find it bad leave now. Not everyone will fit in chaos. But if you stay know that your views will be challenged, language will be bad, people will call a spade a spade. You can also learn a lot about movies and some of the best with knowledge are those that lead the fans wars. So look at the whole picture, not just a sliver and whine. Or else I am telling you, leave now. Find your own place. Nothing wrong with that. But don't come into a community as a newbie and whine because it is not as ordered as you like. You can always start you own forum or blog.

@Bold- is not jumping to conclusions? You accuse me of jumping to conclusions but that's not what you are doing at 5747 posts as well? Or is it that jumping to conclusions is allowed at 5747 posts?

Relax. My intention is not to report anyone, or create order. The intent of this post was to gauge what exactly the forum is about, and why the name-calling, etc takes place, which most people explained on this thread, and quite elaborately, politely and nicely. Assuming everyone who commented is a passionate person, I didn't see anyone make such hateful, spiteful comments.

I think I can differentiate passion from plain rudeness. While fan wars may be the former, yours definitely was the latter.

I may be around 25-30 posts old coz I post less, but I have been around here since November 2017. Had I been one of those who wanted to create law and order by reporting people, half of the forum would have been reported against by then.

But the forum is thriving, and fan wars are going on in full flow.

So, think before you make assumptions, maybe?

Its a forum for everyone, and no one can ask anyone to leave. I haven't. And that is what I pointed out. That I haven't. So I won't be told to either. If that is equivalent to me asking people who have years of being here to leave, then you surely are the one who doesn't understand, and simply needs any excuse to attack someone(verbally, of course).

I have no intention of creating any order. That is not for me to do. I do not go to posts creating order. I visit posts which interest me and comment on the topic itself.

This post was simply to understand why people end up bashing each other here.

You clearly missed the point and went off on your own bitter tirade.

If my post was passive-aggressive according to you, then according to me, your comments were extremely rude, hyper, spiteful where it was not needed. While being part of a fan war, one may tend to get rude. But while simply discussing something with a fellow member, where just giving one's own views politely does suffice, you chose to be rude.

So you cannot be put on a pedestal either.

Thank you @blue-ice..that was sweet of you. Yes, I am getting to understand a bit. And the most common thing I have read of this thread and believe to be true is sabko aadat padh gayi hai. With time mujhe bhi padh jayegi.

And yeah, it does seem like most people take out the frustrations of their life over here, hence end up beinh unnecessarily hyper. Haha.
