i was watching sridevi's IV during EV times...i have to confess she is such a humble personality...her family literally destroyed her childhood yet she only spoke wonderful things abt her...

coming to questions...they went into FBs...like nagina...chandni...lamhe...chaalbaaz...mr india...khuda gawah...she say while shooting for na jaane kahan from CB n katey nahin she was down with 104 temperature of fever...what an amazing dedicated actor...i hope jhanvi possessed all her mother's qualities...she was suffering from a high fever yet she danced so gracefully in those songs that too in rain...than she praises that rishi kapoor...AB...jeetendra they all stil look charming as they were in their younger days...

now coming to lamhe...she says the film was bold n the climax was bold n she did express it to yashji but still follow yashji view...she knows that the audience will not accept the climax...as it was bold...than pop up a question if lamhe is remake will the audience accept since times has changed...she still says NO..becos the subject was bold...i was like literally smiling...

I wonder why lamhe is tag as bold...it was such a beautiful love story...to be honest it depicts real life...in tdys era we do come across such love stories...i am sure in that era too...love can happen in any age...u can fall in love in childhood...same age..or huge age difference...there is no control over love n matter of hearts...it juat happens and there is no control over it...thats what happened to pooja in the film...she fall in love with a 40 yrs viren when was just 5 yrs old...yes it weird...but in matter of hearts...there is no control ver it...there is no age...boundaries..caste when it comes to love...it was such a beautiful film...why is it even call bold...the story had so much innocence to it that u can't even see a huge age difference b/w viren-pooja...it was so pure...chandni n lamhe i have watch countless time n its still so beautiful as it was in its 80s n 90s...

why is lamhe call bold...

i find EMA subject...selling husband(judaai)...those films deals with physical relationships more bold than lamhe...

why is the film is even call bold...can u guys explain...

The hero falls in love with the heroine. The heroine marries someone else and dies after giving birth to her daughter. The hero fulfills all the needs of the daughter. The daughter then falls in love with the hero. In the end, the hero marries the daughter of the heroine.
This is quite a bold subject in 90s. It's not about the old man and young woman marriage. The fact that he marries the daughter of a girl he loved when he was young makes it a bold movie. I remember lot of people cringed when they saw old Anil and young Sridevi romancing in Kabhi main kahu song. Yeh unn dino ki baat hai! I am not sure if this movie is remade today, it will be accepted by the viewers or not.

The bold comes from the content of the film... it's like mother and daughter liking the same person... though beautifully captured and I loved the movie, and could get what was the emotions behind... it was too ahead of its time...

It was a beautiful movie.. people may or may not agree with the story but the emotions were captured beautifully. And visuals of the desert were beautiful..that image of Sridevi dancing in thedesert in a blue lehenga..even her expressions in Megha re song..the last scene. everything stays with u.
But don't think Viren was 40 when Pooja was 5..her mom was older to Viren

That's like practically romancing your daughter. This along with Raja ki ayegi baraat was a W*F moment for me.

Ok...now i got it...its the guy liking the mother-daughter is the issue...furthermore the age is too huge..another issue that sums all being bold...

People use that as an excuse as to why it failed

When it failed cause it was boring.

😆 😆

I'd rather watch one of the Hate story movies

I dont think age was an issue, cause since ages indians are used to Men marrying girls half their age.

The ONLY problem was the Male lead marrying the daughter of a woman whom he loved beyond limits. He didnt marry anyone else, after Pallavi got married to her love... such strong were his feelings for Pallavi, yet when Pooja came, he slowly fell for her and in the end married her. As someone said, its like marrying your own daughter..

Maybe had they showed him moving on, getting married and divorced, and then falling for Pooja, it wudve lessened his intense love for Pallavi, that might have made it more palatable for Indian crowd.

But even if that climax, i love the movie so much... Its so entertaining that i ignore the climax completely...
