Sridevi started her acting career at the age of 4 and started to work since her childhood but did she ever went to school at all? I Googled of her education level but I didn't find anything. In 2012, I read in one of her interview where she said that she doesn't want Jhanvi to act and focus on studies because she couldn't study since she started to work at very early age.

She could not attend school or college. She used to take a teacher along in the beginning; but she once she got very busy, she eventually gave it up.

It shows since she cannot articulate well, has very little knowledge outside of films, and cannot mingle easily with groups of people.

No surprise that she wanted her daughters to study first.

^^ That explains a lot. The insecurity and complex made her reticent and an introvert probably.

This is so sad. What parents would deprive their child of a good education atleast up to college level if not higher.

And apparently her father was a lawyer. So I am assuming parents were educated themselves.

So she didn't attend Kindergarden or first grade? How will she attend college if she didn't go to school?

What kind of parents would deprive their child of worldwide success and popularity, touching millions with your talent for a college level education which is of no use to you? (😉)

Sridevi always said "to win something you must lose something" and she appreciated that she missed out on school and other "normal" things, but she was well aware that as a college girl she would also love the idea of being a star.

Are you seriously justifying not sending a child to school for some quick cash. Even if she possessed talent forcing her to stand in front of the camera at the age of 4 is sickening. She clearly lacked social skills and confidence off screen which can most certainly be attributed to her poor education. Of course she's going to say 'to win something you must lose something' you can't expect her to openly bash her parents.

Some school I think till 8th or 10th.

Several of her step sisters though are doctors. One is a very famous fertility specialist in Chennai called Kamala Selvaraj and a couple of them are doctors in the US. I think one is a journo too.
