Many people are questioning the use of tricolor at Sridevi's funeral.

Its not only about serving the army... It's about making the nation proud with talent sometimes also. Stop talking like uneducated people. coming from a village in Tamilnadu to becoming one of India's biggest female Superstar is almost impossible.But she acheived that rare feat. Appreciate the level she has reached with her hardwork... She made the nation proud and the nation is now respecting her by wrapping her with our tricolour flag!! Love her... May her soul rest in peace

Those who are conferred with civilian award(Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri) are accorded with state honours during their funeral. They are draped in tricolor and are given gun salute. Sridevi was awarded Padma Shri.

She awarded Padma sri award.. n Those who gets National Award like this , all of gets State honor from Nation . N also She is the First female superstar. She had so many contribution in ENTERTAINING INDUSTRY also.

I did not know. Or else, I also would have wondered, why tricolour? (Choosing entertainment industry is a choice. Not service). I realise now, how getting a national award is a matter of pride. Not everyone gets this honour.
