Jauhar and misogyny are not attached ONLY to Padmavat...true...but the depiction in Padmavat when its being questioned is being defended based on the REAL history of it( I am one of those who have defended it)...Khilji is not a fictional character and I find it impossible to believe that a heinous disgusting man like Khilji would go and act like a total joker as depicted in Khalibali and other snippets...if u are going to give the logic of a commercial movie and not a historical...its fine with me...then there should be an answer to those objecting to Jauhar and misogyny that why a COMMERCIAL movie couldn't correct the misogyny and Jauhar part ...atleast make it symbolic as the movie is for modern day audience...it doesn't go both ways u know...u can't defend part of a movie based on history but brush off some objections saying that it is a commercial movie.

May be SLB wanted to show khilji as a cruel person cos of his misdeeds..hence showed ranveer in that avtar ..though he fits well but in some parts he lost the grip ,which is negligible !

Well this fecking movie started with a freaking disclaimer that the movie is a fecking FICTIONAL TAKE on the poem Padmavat and has nothing to do with the fecking REAL PEOPLE AND REPRESENTATION OF THEIR CULTURE.

Anyways it is Hippocrisy , that you of all people accusing SLB of having interior religious political motive, when this thread is screaming" HOW DID SLB TRIED TO SHOW MAN BORN IN ISLAM AS PURE EVIL AND HINDU RAJPUTS AS GOOD".

Well the movie also had a disclaimer that it does not support the practice of Jauhar or Sati.
Hence those who accuse the movie glorifying of jauhar are bashed.
