TM did you just say Irfan Khan is not good looking. I would disagree on that. Even Rajkumar Rao for that matter, he may not look very good in his films because he usually tries to look like the average boy that be plays in his films, but I've seen his interviews and he is actually pretty groomed and well spoken in real life. The thing is that an Irfan or a Rajkumar become the character that they play whereas HR or Varun would bring their abs and style to any damn role they play even if it is that of a loser.
But does that works? .. only if the film is well made too and becomes a success. Success is all that matters in Bollywood. There are enough number of Arjun Rampal or Dino Moreas who would not get any work in spite of a proven good looks, but a SRK or Ajay Devgan would last decades even though they aren't anywhere near being super models.
As for Shradha getting work over Parineeti. Shradha's workload is definitely reducing over time even though she is still pretty. And Parineeti's example is not the right one to take because she herself chose to take almost a year's break when she was getting a lot of offers. Just because Katrina being beautiful got her noticed doesn't means every good looking woman has had success in Bollywood. Some never appeared in more than few flop films. Katrina's success is not just because of beauty, it is also because of her charm and of course Salman helped her pick good films that worked well at box office. A film's success is what counts and only beauty cannot lead to a successful film.
