Actresses who are good at keeping the hype alive around themselves once they have reached a certain amount of popularity dont go away in a hurry irrespective of their skills-Ash, Kareena, Katrina, PC, DP and now Kangana. She aint going away anywhere.

I think the difference between DP's Cocktail and Sonam's Neerja is that Cocktail was soon followed by YJHD, CE, RL which cemented her position as a commercial actress. Which were then followed by Piku and BM. While Sonam didnt do/sign anything post Neerja for a long time. All said and done DP is more suited as a commercial actress. It helped that in 2016 and 2017 there were no actress who could takeover. We had Alia but even she isnt suited for all kinds of roles.

Kangana I agree...Queen and TWMR helped. But what helped more is her media fights whether its against HR or KJo. People pay attention to her. Kareena I think has always been great at keeping herself in the news. Mostly thru her personal life. Once in a while for her films.

Thats true...but in 2012 it seemed she was completely done and dusted. But she managed to hang in there for five more years despite all her fights with people like KJo, blacklisted by some people and also not regularly working in India for the last two years. But yes time is running out now unless she does something huge again.

If he doesn't reinvent himself and comeback with a solid hit he is out of race. Already he is but is just hanging in there because of his goodwill earned in initial years.

Now there are stars like Ranveer and Varun who can attempt both classy and massy and are actually building a solid fanbase.

Ranbir lost the game somewhere, and brahmastra looks like massive did with the kind of two year research and two name changes and date changes. Even Kjo will start replacing him
