The original speech by Arunachalam Muruganantham.

Thanks for sharing this. Finally watched it. The man is so simple, endearing and thoroughly unpretentious. The talk is about how he started the revolution and what obstacles he faced. He is even going to top colleges like IIM to give guest lectures. He said he wants to spread the awareness in more and more rural India.
Watch this...He is very very entertaining.

Wanted to add this. This is from starplus TED talks. Didn't watch the main episode. So missed SRK's introductory lines or interactions with him.

Such an endearing and inspirational story spoiled by bad acting. The speech scene was massively cringeworthy.
It looked like TEPK with different supporting cast. The one note acting by Akshay is getting repetitive and boring. He should have taken a back seat and gave the role to someone who fits the part.

Why it is the idea behind Twinkle producing when Akshay already has a production house? demonetization šŸ˜‰

I am a bit disappointed with the trailer. It fell below my expectation. It didn't have the chutzpah to draw me in.
The bad English in the speech was overdone and atrocious. It doesn't match any speaking patterns of ESL Indians.

But fingers crossed that the whole movie is much better.

Trailer looks good though not as good as Toilet love story

Maybe they did it for comedy effect but his English is even more broken and funnier than the original Padman's
and the character looks slightly like a caricature (they always make South Indians caricatures in BW movies)

(The original man has great public speaking skills I have to say based on what I saw here)

Akshay Kumar seemed to be obsessed with cleanliness and hygiene and determined to do his part in spreading awareness about basic sanitation sadly lacking in our country... Sadly, he's the only one

(He should do a movie about 1994 plague epidemic in India bcz of unhygienic conditions, when the world thought it was eradicated)

I vaguely remember his becoming Canadian speech he said something like "I love Canada. it!s clean and beautiful, I love my country too even though it's not clean" šŸ˜†

Nice and well-rythmed trailer. I like that it's bright and the background song is catchy.
I hope they'll put an emphasis on the comedy aspect of the movie withouth taking away from the message of the movie. Indeed, Arunachalam Muruganantham is himself someone who talks about his own experience with humour.

I'm a little underwhelmed tbh. The idea is noble and hopefully the overall film is better than this. The speech scene was ehh. TBH, I am getting to the point where I am having a hard time differentiating Akki's films.

+1

Not only underwhelming but heck, even Akki seems out of his depth here šŸ¤”

Radhika Apte was the saving grace really, she totally overshadowed both Akki and Sonam(who looks more like a flowerpot tbh).
