Thank you. I had no clue about this movie Phullu.

Padman is based on Arunachalam's life who is a real inspiration the way he shaped up his life. Only difference will be Arunachalam's character will be shown as UP wala and not South Indian and Sonam is a fictional character most probably since in reality no woman helped him in the initial days .

A well-made, promising trailer. Impressive. A sincere effort in telling the story of a simple man who brought revolution and change in rural women's hygiene.

Overall treatment is good; covered all key moments of his life. The entire premise looks similar to Toilet. But this is more earnest than the toilet-building crusader as he plays a simple, real life hero here. Trailer is trying to tackle the stigma attached to menstruation hygiene without being preachy. Infusion of humour to navigate tricky subjects is a good old idea, but it shouldn't take away the seriousness and core of the plot.

Akki's comic timing is terrific. Radika shines with her innocent charm. The emotional moments between them are executed well. Very little has been shown of Sonam. I think she is a fictional character, instrumental in the success of his crusade.

So far, makers have stuck to the facts to T. No attempts made to commercialise it to their avail. The only flipside is the major premise is exactly same that of toilet prem katha. But this is women-centric which creates social awareness of women's health & hygiene which so far been cloaked and shamed.
