I don't understand this whole "the marketing team won't let him promote" stuff. Hahaha, seriously?

Isn't Ranveeer Baba a big star? 😳 Who can tell big stars what to do and dictate to them what they are allowed or not? The marketing strategy also takes their views into account.

He can't get booked onto tv shows? What I am seeing and hearing?

Either Baba is a small time nobody who has no power to do anything and can't even get booked onto tv shows and is dominated by the "marketing team" who doesn't want the lead actor to promote OR he's a big huge star who is hiding to save his own @ss. You can't have it both ways.

It is so childish and sad that I have to sit here and justify my actions. My being there that particular day to launch the 3D trailer of Padmavati was something spontaneous. My director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted me to be there. And it was important for my director that I was there. He has given up a day meant for shooting, when we are fighting against time to complete the film and asked me to go. You know how important each day is when a film is being completed. And he chose to let me go for this event, because that is what he wanted. That is what he needed. I was just following his instructions the same way I would do whatever he asked me to do on set.

^^ That' what I said, they have to follow SLB / Promotion team's plan...and its okay to go to wedding and dance if he is invited and he wants to go...lol...drama over here for these things is hilarious 😆

In a time where people are failing to separate REEL from REAL and threatening bodily harm on REAL people over their portrayal of possible fictional characters in a fictional film, would it make sense for the villain of the film to speak up at this time? No...it would only further stoke the flames, in my opinion.

It is pretty clear Ranveer is on strict orders from SLB and I can't say I disagree with the decision he has taken.

As if the current drama is not enough😆..If they have responded to it , so called cultural protectors would have arranged free tickets for Shahid to Pak and would have blamed Ranveer's American education.

Lol at the lame justifications.. No actor is going to say I'm an ass who won't promote bec of my ego.. And no production house is going to throw their actors under the bus right before the release

... Its common sense... Its one of the most expensive movies of bw.. All the 3 leads should have been out on full force... Yet only one is promoting and bearing the brunt.,

... Why ask DP to promote then? .. The marketing team should have asked her also to promote AFTER the release like others .. Usse kyun bhej diya to face brickbats alone?

If it was just abt managing the situation then you can coach your actors about what to say... Who asks leads to start promoting after release btw? ... When today a movie's fate is decided on the first weekend, what 'strategy' is that?

She is the only one promoting bec she is the only one willing to promote

So??? ... Srk is still called deshdrohi every time he comes out to promote a new movie and told to get lost to pak.. Dp/ ranbir are still grilled mercilessly about their ancient affair.. Salman's cases are brought up every time his movie releases... Kangana/ hr have their drama repeated at every release...

Do any of them stop promoting???
