What nonsense ...told by SLB to not promote or say anything.

Can you imagine any of the older superstars sitting there and twiddling their thumbs because they were told to be quiet when their director and heroine gets death threats?

Also, no one is going to send Shahid and Ranveer to Pakistan for saying anything. They're not like SRK/Aamir who are packed off to Pakistan for simply saying "India."

Ranveer gave an interview and he supports the film and stands by SLB he has been asked to stay away since people already think the film glorifies khilji since a main lead is playing the villain.

Its the decision by the team , he wont promote the film and will give interviews and talk about his character only after the film releases.

The karni sena are already saying things about scenes between Khilji and DP since they are a real life couple. Their arguments defy logic but still RS -DP cannot be seen promoting together hence RS stays away.

Also why he aint promoting solo, He will have to talk about his character and anything said will be twisted by karni sena as glorifying the character, which could make matters worse than it already is.

SK' silence I have no clue.

He is playing Khilji a muslim ruler who did the owrst of things to Rajputs. He has been asked not to speak. These gundas cannot differentiate between real & character in movies. They will call him Muslim and attack him.

As I said in another thread who should promote and who shouldn't involve in promotion is the decision of the team. The dates are allotted even for promotion, if they have already allotted the date later they cannot back out. If Ranveer is not promoting it means the team asked him to not promote the movie. There were lots of promotional activities were planned with Shahid and DP and many of the activities were cancelled cause of the controversy.

And I am sure if they indeed refuse to promote the movie discarding the instruction of the production house ,an article , blind or open criticism will published soon .

Ranveer not promoting in usual way is understood coz of his character, what is stopping Shahid from promoting who is playing prominent Rajput Character?

It is possible SLB might have asked them not to, but then why Deepika is single handedly going everywhere? Is she is going, then should Shahid also, they are playing husband wife in film, couple promoting film makes sense.

Replying to those threats from lead stars will escalate the situation, when maker himself was quiet for whole year.

As if the arguments made by karni sena makes sense. Just yesterday one of them was saying on national televison DP RS are couple and they will do intimate scene in film..

SUCH is their level of delusion!!

Also Another threat against RS for saying he supports his film. Haryana Co-ordinator of BJP saying they l break Ranveer's legs if he does not take back his statement!

Its looking weird that Deepu is the only one doing promotions while the leading men with overactive PRs are now quiet as a mouse. Its better they join her or else she stop promotions too.

BTW, this is why casting is so important.

Ranveer or Deepika should not have been part of the film or Ranveer should have played the Rajput king. When you've done 2 back to back "epic love stories" with the same director, are in a real-life possibly fake relationship no one will accept you in a hate story setting with the same exact director.

They are bound to think that there will be something between the two in the film to satisfy their fans. It doesn't help anything when they've portrayed the Rajput king so meekly. It's obvious that they intend to have a lot of focus on Khijli.

Isn't Ranveeer Baba a big star? 😳 Who can tell big stars what to do and dictate to them what they are allowed or not? The marketing strategy also takes their views into account.

Either Baba is a small time nobody who has no power to do anything and can't even get booked onto tv shows and is dominated by the "marketing team" who doesn't want the lead actor to promote OR he's a big huge star who is hiding to save his own @ss. You can't have it both ways.

And this big star doesnt think twice acting crazy and promoting others(basically himself) movies. 😆
