lol I didn't expect this. SRK had said recently he wanted to wait to see how Indian shows do before jumping into the digital world aur phir he announces this. 😆

^I guess he meant for starring in it himself.

But starring in a show on Netflix is a great idea because they never publish ratings information. Actors can do edgy and niche stuff there without worrying about it being called a flop or get scared about how many people will watch it. Getting good reviews is all that matters. It takes so much pressure off and you can concentrate on the content instead of whether or not people from some small town in Bihar will watch it or not or whether some 80 year old grandma will be offended.

If they are in the mood to do something weird and crazy, Netflix is the way to go because there is no fear about how many crores you have to make in the first weekend and get your stardom called into question. You can actually do other stuff besides the same old masala crap.

I was tbh surprised at SRK's statement..doing Netflix shows/digital shows, is really the way to go if you want to tell different stories and want to challenge yourself in a way that can't really be done through movies. Exactly, they only have to be made well and get good reviews. For that they need good directors on board as well -- SRK has a habit of picking bad directors, Anubhav Sinha for Ra.One, Farah, etc. There's so many adaptations of literature than can be made.

That being said I feel big stars will get resistance from exhibitor lobby for their digital shows as it's a direct competition for movies.

lol @ pic...I've resigned myself to a SRK-Farah film in the future...just another SRK film I'd skip entirely and wouldn't watch even if I was paid. 🥱

Can't he see how fake her buttering up is? She is all over him at every chance she gets.

How can he possibly trust her after what she did during the Shirish spat and that awful Happy New Year she made? He should be running for the hills.

I would anyway prefer he spend his time on starring in some edgy Netflix show than doing some masala crap with Farah.

I thought he had learned when she said she would make something without him and he gave an interview saying he was bored out of his mind while working on HNY...he also sounded embarrassed of the film. He basically admitted that he's over-promoting because its shit. But to me its been obvious that SRK has no clue what to do regarding his films so he'll probably go back to Farah b/c despite everything HNY did well.

It's another story that SRK essentially has carried the negativity from all his earlier films and that's the reason his recent ones didn't get any love either..so I doubt people will have any patience for whatever Farah has planned next.

There was this interview where this lady asked SRK why he was doing such trash like HNY. First time in my life I've seen SRK unable to respond.

^That's exactly it! His recent movies are actually good but people aren't giving them a chance because of all the negativity from before. If he goes back to Farah, he is going to shoot himself in foot even more.

He's obviously confused about what to do but my god, how can Farah be the answer when he himself hated Happy New Year? He actually hates all masala movies. Even Karan hinted at it recently that SRK doesn't like mainstream commercial stuff.
